I bought my fang shortly after release and saw it dropping further and further. Never sold it. It's bis at many bosses. I didn't buy ancestral and spectral for kraken tasks and sell it afterwards. Yes, the task goes by a bit faster but because of the ge tax it will be less profitable. So keep your fang.
